Privacy

This is a personal site. It collects as little as it can, keeps nothing it does not need and never sells or shares your data for advertising.

Who is responsible

Burak Çevik runs this site and decides what happens to the data it collects. You can reach me at hello@burak.pm for anything in this notice.

The contact form

When you send a message I receive your name, your email address, the topic you picked and your message. I use them only to read and answer you.

The message is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and forwarded to my mailbox through Resend, an email delivery service in the EU.
To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, and it keeps a one way hash of your IP address that changes every day. The hash only limits how many messages can be sent in an hour; it cannot be turned back into your address.
Your country, as reported by Cloudflare, is saved with the message.
Messages are deleted automatically after 12 months. Ask me and I will delete yours sooner.

The visitor map

Each visit adds one to a counter for the country it came from. Nothing else is stored: no IP address, no device details and no history. A small cookie named bp_seen remembers for one day that your visit was already counted, so refreshing the page does not count you twice.

Statistics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how fast pages load and how many people visit. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other sites.

Things other services handle

Booking a call: the calendar opens Google Calendar inside the page. If you book, Google processes your name and email under its own privacy policy and I receive the booking.
Weather: your browser asks Open Meteo for the Ankara forecast. Open Meteo sees your IP address like any website you load.
Now playing: the song comes from my own Spotify account. Your data is not sent to Spotify, but the album cover loads from Spotify's servers.

Stored in your browser

Your theme, language and best score in the 404 game are saved in your own browser. They never leave your device and you can clear them anytime.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Under Türkiye's personal data law (KVKK, Law No. 6698, Article 11) and the GDPR, write to hello@burak.pm and I will reply within 30 days.

Gizlilik

Cloudflare'in bildirdiği ülke bilgisi de mesajla birlikte kaydedilir.

Görüşme ayarlama: Takvim, sayfanın içinde Google Takvim'i açar. Randevu alırsan adın ve mail adresin Google'ın kendi gizlilik politikasına göre işlenir, randevu bilgisi bana iletilir.
Hava durumu: Tarayıcın Ankara tahminini Open Meteo'dan ister.
Şu an dinlediğim: Şarkı benim Spotify hesabımdan gelir. Senin verilerin Spotify'a gönderilmez, ancak albüm kapağı Spotify'ın sunucularından yüklenir.
